Rachel Rose is a cis gay Vancouver-based filmmaker with a history of telling powerful, femme-driven stories inspired by lived experience.

She is passionate about the role of film in shifting perspectives and inspiring action, and is committed to creating opportunities for underrepresented voices both in front of and behind the camera.
A VIFF Catalyst alum, she has directed several short films, including Tryst (Crazy8s/CBC Gem) and Are You Hungry (Voices With Impact). Her Canada Council for the Arts–funded short Little Booms premiered at Aesthetica and is currently being developed into a feature with support from WIDC Story & Leadership and Creative BC.

She also co-wrote and directed the vertical miniseries A Shot At Love for Chera TV (premiering May 2026), and served as creative producer on Am I My Brother’s Keeper, written and directed by Alex Lawther (The End of the F**ing World).

In addition to her own projects, Rachel remains committed to supporting other filmmakers as a commercial and narrative 1st Assistant Director.
